Samuel Kobina Annim is an academic with experience in policy design assessment and evaluation. He holds a professorship in Economics at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. His research expertise spans diverse micro-development issues including microfinance, poverty and health with a geographical focus on sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. As part of his career path, he committed to strengthening his engagement with policymakers by serving as the Government Statistician of the Republic of Ghana for a six-year period. His work is marked by extensive research publications and a commitment to data-driven policy initiatives and outcomes. Samuel contributes to the international data and statistics community as a member of United Nations expert groups and in his current capacity as the Chairperson of the Board and Executive Committee of PARIS21.
