Kwame Oppong is Head of Fintech and Innovation at Bank of Ghana. Previously, he was a consultant with CGAP focused on digital financial services ecosystems, including providers, central banks, finance ministries, and other stakeholders, to advance financial inclusion through digital financial services. Before joining CGAP, Mr. Oppong was the general manager for Tigo, a mobile financial service provider in Ghana. He has also worked in Hewlett Packard’s Enterprise Business division, and he has held other positions across the telecommunications, housing finance, and health insurance industries. His background spans Technology, Digital Financial Services (DFS) operations, policy development, and regulation. He has consulted for several governments, public sector institutions, international development organizations and private corporations globally. Mr. Oppong has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Central University and a Master’s in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University.
