John is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a member of the Institute of chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) with several years post qualification senior management experience. He holds Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast and MBA from Oxford Brookes University, UK. He has previously worked with Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank and in prior careers, held senior leadership positions as Finance Director at GCB Bank, Group Chief Finance Officer at Ecobank Capital, Financial Controller at Barclays Bank of Ghana (now ABSA Bank), Chief Finance Officer at UBA Ghana and as Finance Business Partner at Standard Chartered Bank Ghana with industry exposure from Tractor & Equipment Ghana (now Mantrac) and Western Castings Limited. John has broad knowledge in investment banking and has been part of many landmark deals from his time at Ecobank Capital and as Managing Director of UMB Bank.
